Emotionally You.....

Breaking destructive thought patterns

We all find ourselves some time or another, in our lives, going through an emotional crisis that we just cannot get ourselves out of. One of the easiest most effective methods is to just stop and think!

Clear your head! release yourself of thinking about your own situation. Its not going to take your problem away, but you will feel a whole lot better, and your mind will be a whole lot more clearer to invite peace, calm and solution to your life.

What you are actually going through is an experience in your mind. Your thoughts are making you feel and believe that whatever is going on around you is as you think and believe it to be. Things are not always as bad as it seems.

Think gratitude, remember good times, thoughts that made you cry of laughter! some people do not possess a happy memory. Think of all the people that are one hundred times worse off than what you are, think of all the people that are faced with a situation where they have no place to sleep tonight. How blessed we are to be able to sleep in a bed and not have to worry if our roof will cave in of the wind or rain, or where their next meal is going to come from. Breath deep the fresh air that surrounds you and be forever grateful for it. Think how fortunate you are to open a tap and have clean running water, go to the tap and have a glass of that water that you are so grateful for. Many people in many countries, still today, have to get water from boreholes and other means.

Have some faith! believe and tell yourself that everything is going to be okay! and everything will be okay!

Change your thoughts and your surroundings will change.

Get rid of the mona lisa within you and the mona lisa's around you!

If you have nothing good to say, then do not say anthing! Your thoughts, words and actions define what kind of life you live.

You may have nothing and still be at peace or you may have everything and still be miserable.

Critisizing and putting blame on every one but yourself will keep you exactly where you are, MISERABLE!

Our thoughts and our words are the cause of our suffering and we fail to see our own mistakes.

We have to come to a point in our lives where we ask ourselves, 'WHAT AM I DOING WRONG'.  Not everything is some one elses fault!

There are people who do us wrong, but it is not their actions that affect us, it is our creation of our own thoughts that decides our actions that delivers our fate.

How many other people who came from a very difficult lifestyle arose to a better life. That is because they chose not to live in the space that they were. Not because their problem went away.

Some peoples problems go away and they are left with nothing yet they arise better and higher than before. Because! They choose to let go of things they donot have control over and move forward, make the effort, towards what they want with what they do have and what they do know.

Focus on yourself, focus on how we can better ourselves, focus on where you are right now and start living in the now with a better YOU!

Stop Moaning!

BELIEVE AND YOU CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING....

Me! Myself & I...

How I became a Nikaabi

I have always wanted to wear a nikaab! It was my choice! It still is my choice and it will always be my choice!

About 3 years ago, my hubby and I went for Umrah. I was soooo looking forward to it. I could hardly believe that I was really going! Tickets booked, visas done, bags not packed! Hehehe! Must have been of shock. I packed my bags the night before we left.

We were en route to Pakistan and going via Jedda, my lovely hubby said to me, " how can we be right there and not even perform and Umrah" SO we went to medina first then few days later off to Makkah!

What an experience! One I will never ever forget!

Just looking at the Kaba brought me to tears! I cried all through my tawaaf! I couldn't believe that I was chosen to go.

Long story short! leave out all the emotions and drama for now! After salaah, sitting on my mussallah,  in my room, my mind went to a beautiful tasbeeh I saw at the stalls and wished that I could have it!

Anyways, in walks hubby, with 2 tasbeehs in hand, 1 for him and one for MOI! Anddddd!!!! Guess what tasbeeh??? The exact same one I was thinking of!

I don't think my heart ever smiled harder than that day!

We sat and had the discussion AGAIN! BTW, previously my hubby was always against me wearing nikaab! And I think he mostly feared that I wouldn't wear it for long! And would just give it up!

Our discussion:  About me wearing a nikaab, I said to him, " this is not about you! This is about me! This is between me and Allah! And if Allah forgives my sins while I am here, how can I go back and sin again!"

Well that was that! He took me to the market, we bought the 3 pardas and a few days later we were off to pakistan. And I'm in love with my nikaab ever since then!

I cannot imagine my life without it! This is me! This is who I am!

S Nikaabi!

Its a way of life.....

The Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) potrays himself

- meditation in God is my capital
- reason and sound logic is the root of my religion
- contemplation of God is my companion
- faith is the source of my power
- sorrow is my friend
- knowledge is my weapon
- patience is my garb and virtue
- truth is my salvation
- worship is my habit
- and in prayer lies the coolness of my eyes and the
  peace of my mind

Find everyrhing you need in prayer alone!
